Family treasure painting provides long time “wonder and contentment”

Hi
My late mother bought one of Jack’s paintings at a Calgary gallery in the 60s. It’s been hanging over the mantle ever since. This oil painting has always brought such wonder and contentment to my family and myself.
I am unaware of its title. Do you know the title of this work by your gifted father?
Please let me know if you do.
Thanks.

Unfortunately, we don’t know the name of this painting. With a long career and literally thousands of pieces, tracing everything is like putting a big puzzle together. We are glad that this one has given so much pleasure to a family for so long. Lynn and Paula

  1. This painting is a beaut. My parents have two JLM originals — I’m going to take pics and post them next time I’m out to visit them.

  2. NEWS FLASH !! A hint for all proud owners of seemingly un-named Jack Lee McLean originals…Look on the back of the painting..and you may find the name 🙂 Paula suggested this to Greg B. and he is happy…HERE’S THE EMAIL EXCHANGE..Dear Greg,
I am so happy you enjoy this painting. I’m afraid I don’t know the name of it, but perhaps the name is on the back of the painting. It looks like southern Alberta Rangeland…Paula
